Jackson Chameleon & Hiking Hawaii Loa Ridge

This morning I hiked Hawaii Loa Ridge with my hiking club buddy and we found a jackson chameleon on the path.  What a pleasant surprise!  We look for those every time we hike, and today it was right on the trail, just chugging along.

Here he is right in the open, trying to cross the road.

Once he realized he had been spotted, he got outta there pretty quickly, but not quick enough!  We got a few good shots of him.

There he goes, back into the bush...
